Fisheries

Eskasoni Fish & Wildlife Commission

In keeping with Mi’kmaq concept of conservation, Commercial Fisheries Division seeks to manage the aboriginal fisheries with respect for future generations. EFWC has a fleet of vessels that are capable to fish the 200 mile limit. Commercial Fisheries Division utilizes and has trained 8 community members in obtaining Master IV certification and 40 deckhands.
