Amalijek Lake Outfitting Amalijek Lodge is a rustic log cabin, constructed on the birch and spruce forested slopes of Amalijek Lake, a pristine wilderness, consisting of old growth forest with several interconnecting lakes and rivers of naturally clean, clear and cool waters. While Amalijek abounds with big game animals, for those who prefer not to hunt, in addition to just viewing these animals, the bald eagle, osprey and the loon make their regular visits to the area and are a pleasure to observe in their natural habitant. All Campsites are equipped with fire places, firewood is supplied, and there is running water at key points within the park. Feel free to visit the community of Conne River, just 12kms away on a newly paved road. There are festivities held there frequently celebrating the native culture of the Mi'kmaw (Micmac) people of Newfoundland. The park is open from May to September.
